Shell Exploration and Production Company is seeking an/a Environmental Engineer for their Anchorage, Alaska location.
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities :
Â
- Providing environmental support to the Alaska E&P operations, including seismic, drilling, logistics and production
Key Accountabilities:
Â
Â
- Obtaining necessary environmental operating permits
- Developing and writing environmental standards and guidelines
- Developing and delivering environmental training
- Maintaining systems and compliance processes to assure compliance with governmental regulations and Group standards covering all media (air, water and waste)
- Collecting data and information for regulatory and Group required environmental performance reports
- Leading and participating in ISO 14001 surveillance audits and response to findings
- Reviewing and investigating environmental incidents such as spills and permit non-compliances, including working with operations to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence
- Supporting the Alaska development project impact assessment
- Participating as a member of the Alaska oil spill response organization
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Requirements :
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Bachelorâs Degree and 3-5 years experience in HSSE Envvironmental skill pool or equivalent external experience, plus 8-10 years of total career engineering experience, preferably in the E&P industry
