You will coordinate the delivery of data management services and projects related to exploration and geological well information. As well as managing our exploration and geological well data, you will need to help improve the information provided to the geoscience and petroleum engineering disciplines, planning appropriate action in close cooperation with the business. We will expect you to develop and maintain the strategy for well data in EP Europe (EPE), to contribute towards the regional EPE information and data management plan, and to ensure the proper execution of this plan. Your role also involves supervising and mentoring staff in the provision of data management services, supporting the asset teams in achieving their data management targets, and promoting information management services throughout the subsurface community. In addition, you will need to:Â

• Define, maintain and implement data standards whilst implementing our global information management processes 
• Collaborate at EPE and global levels to share best practice and identify opportunities to align activities and services
• Contribute to the migration of subsurface data to a standard global data management architecture 
• Maintain good communication channels with the customers in the geoscience and petroleum engineering disciplines.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Requirements :Educated to degree level, you will have extensive experience in the EP industry with significant experience in an information or data management role. Up-to-date project management skills are essential, PMP is preferred, and you will have a good knowledge of exploration and development processes, workflows and software applications such as OpenWorks, SeisWorks, ARC GIS, PowerExplorer and Recall. We will be looking for experience of working virtually with colleagues from other regions and from a central office together with excellent communication, leadership and engagement skills. Fluency in English is essential and Norwegian would be useful.

A graduate engineer, preferably with Chartered Engineering status. You should have extensive process engineering experience, preferably in Exploration & Production (EP), and ideally gained in an international oil company or in a contractor or consulting environment. Broad-based EP facilities engineering skills are important and you will have specific skills in the conceptual and detailed design of EP facilities; oil, water and gas process technologies and flow schemes; and pipeline hydraulics, multiphase flow and flow assurance. You should be fully conversant with steady state process and pipeline simulation tools such as HYSYS and PIPESIM with a good working knowledge of reservoir and well engineering. Our Quality, Health, Safety, Environment (QHSE) department is responsible for maintaining and developing the existing management system, coordinating internal auditing, incident and complaint management, the fire brigade, and all safety aspects according to German legislation. It also manages environmental issues, including HSE risk management and plant permits.

We’re currently looking to recruit an HSE Risk Assessor to join our team at the refinery.


DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities :
As our HSE Risk Assessor, you’ll organise and conduct HSE risk assessments according to an agreed programme, and work on an ad-hoc basis for special risk assessments. Maintaining and auditing risk management process and procedures, you’ll develop and implement concepts for easy access and reduced user complexity of Health Risk Assessments (HRAs).

You’ll actively participate in the implementation of new risk management processes (e.g. the IT tool for HRA), and develop, organise and conduct necessary training modules for all relevant staff regarding HSE risk assessments.

We’ll also require you to upgrade existing risk assessments by taking the latest developments within Shell and legal requirements into account (e.g. linking HSE critical tasks/activities to new global HSE competencies).


REQUIRED SKILLS:

Your interpersonal and communication skills will be first-class, as we’ll expect you to work towards increasing awareness of risk assessments tools (including Bowties, HRA, special risk assessments) and major hazards for our people at the Rhineland Refinery.

You’ll need to be able to communicate in German and have good knowledge of Shell and German risk assessment regulation, and the ability to work on a strategic basis in a highly complex environment. We’ll also require you to have the knowledge and expertise to:

• Act as advisor for HSE risk assessment in Rhineland refinery and its implementation into operating practice
• Develop implementation plan for HSE risk assessments together with all relevant parties (mainly operation)
• Organise and conduct risk assessments according to agreed programme and on special request using dedicated software tools
• Develop links to other relevant programmes / departments based on the application and outcome of the risk assessments
• Deal with existing risk assessments to improve user-friendliness and reduce complexity
• Organise and execute training sessions for other departments regarding major hazard awareness and HSE risk assessments
• Deal with internal requests from operation and other departments regarding HSE risk assessment
